Pharrell Williams continues his collaboration with adidas Originals on the Adistar Jellyfish. In this "Crystal Sand" variation, the model’s imposing volumes are paired with a more neutral palette, constructed around shades of sand, brown, and black.
Design Architecture and Volume
The Adistar Jellyfish is distinguished by its particularly voluminous construction. Various layers of the upper visually extend toward the sole, an architecture that lends the model a sculptural appearance and clearly separates its silhouette from that of a conventional running shoe.
This specific variation combines Crystal Sand, Trace Brown, and Core Black in a relatively restrained palette. These muted tones are utilized to emphasize the model’s overlays and voluminous forms, rather than relying on strong color contrasts to define its identity. The upper mixes textile and other materials into a multi-paneled construction.
