Not every collaboration needs an epic narrative. Instead, with "Today Was A Good Day," AFEW and Brooks choose to celebrate something much simpler: those small moments capable of transforming an ordinary day into a fond memory.
Reviving a Classic Silhouette
To bring this idea to life, AFEW drew inspiration from the Adrenaline GTS 10, a running shoe silhouette that first appeared in 2009 for the tenth anniversary of the series. Its technical architecture and characteristic late-2000s aesthetic now serve as the foundation for a much warmer interpretation.
The design features a palette built around Bridal Rose and Fiery Coral, where deep burgundy, pink hues, and particularly vivid coral accents meet. The mesh upper is enriched with various textures, notably shiny overlays and copper metallic accents, while specific "Today Was A Good Day" details incorporate the concept directly onto the shoe.
Beneath this transformation remains the Adrenaline GTS 10's running DNA, built around cushioning and support. However, performance is no longer the main subject. By reviving a 2009 silhouette and applying colors, textures, and optimistic details to it, AFEW and Brooks transform an old running shoe into a simple reminder: sometimes some good days start with small details.
The Adrenaline GTS 10 returned from the archives with one intentionally simple idea: "Today Was A Good Day."
